Theoretically in a servant leadership organization the ultimate goal of leadership is to empower or ensure that the organization is able to meet needs. Since organizational needs don't change with new leadership, the only items that should change would be in regards to the new leaderships vision of what is needed to empower folks. Having an understanding of the new leaders vision would be the key in answering the more detailed questions.

Anyway that's the theory, but as we all know theory's don't always work in the real world.

Gravatar Tom....well said....I agree completely! Servant-leadership is about being servant to the mission (I've posted about this before, but need to go back to it again), which is what many people misunderstand about being an effective servant-leader.
