I'm not sure it's an either/or situation - rather it is a both/and situation.

On my first trip to Kenya (in 2000) I was with a Medical Missions team in Eldoret & Nakura. While in Nakura, half of the team travelled up into the Forests of Mariashona. The doctors quickly discovered that the primary health issues were being caused by the Dorobo people eating raw meat and drinking parasite-filled water. Medicine was the immediate solution - but the long-term solution was education - education that can and should be provided on the $100 laptops MIT is proposing.

As Christians, I know that you agree, we need to take an holistic approach - body, soul, mind & spirit.
