There has been much written in the "business" journals over the last year about this very topic. Sifting through the volumes...one has to ask....Are businesses built to meet this expectation? Human capital or human resource?

Thanks for your comment. As your question points out, many business' as they exist now may not be built to provide meaningful work for the workers. However, the hope is that since they have been built by human beings, with some remodeling, they can become a place that allows the workers to do what we humans all crave. And that craving is to work to achieve goals that we believe in. It seems to me that this remodeling should not be such a big task, and the rewards for everyone would be huge. The trick is to hold on to the hope.
