You can't separate what you want servant leadership to be from it's origin, that is Christianity. That all religions practice it, is complete falacy. Why don't you at least do a wikipedia search on the conceptual orgin and why don't you really study other religions, so you don't have to have your hands here.

James,
Thanks for your comments.
Christianity had its origins in someone who was indeed one of the best examples of servant leadership out there. I don't think however that servant leadership as I understand it origininates with the religion of Christianity. As you point out, all religions (including Christianity) do not always practice what they preach. It is my belief and experience that the qualities that make someone a servant-leader do not depend on which religion they practice, but more that individuals are willing to nurture the seeds of servant leadership that exist in everyone, no matter what their religion.
My thoughts for what they are worth.
Tom
