I'm glad you mention history. History is important for a number of reasons. Especially important is how it serves as a reminder of what is possible - both for good and evil. Servant leaders need a steady diet of history.

Thanks for the comment. An understanding of history is definately a key to successful leadership. When it comes to history, I think that what is important is not to judge what was "good" or what was "evil", but to delve into what worked, and what did not work, and the reasons for each. When we learn from history, we grow. When we judge history, we may miss the lesson.
