Tom,
Good quote on building and servant leadership. It made me think of this statement by Hillary Clinton, which is the first time I think I've seen a presidential candidate talk about servant leadership:

“I consider myself a servant-leader,” she said. “...I’m running to get the country on the right track for the future...We [Americans] look to solve problems together....”

I'm not versed enough on presidential politics to say if this particular candidate is or is not a better servant leader than her competitors.

But I do like the idea that Robert Greenleaf's concept of a "servant leader" and "building" (as you note) has become well-known enough to enter presidential politics, and is something a candidate aspires to.

Gravatar Chris,

Thanks for your quote. My hope is that politicians who use the servant leadership talk, start walking the servant leadership walk.

Tom
