That's just dumb, Sean. First of all, many significant french wine producers are american owned. Second, we did nothing to reach out to out European allies 2 years ago. How about boycotting the Germans? No, middle America doesn't understand Bordeaux and brie, but the understand beemers and binoculars. 60 years ago, the french were our allies (just like 230 years ago)and the germans were killing millions. This is Bush's fence to mend not Chirac!

Oops, my mistake... it was Bill leading the ridiculous frech boycott.

Gravatar I never got the French boycott thing. I love French wine and it's a pretty cool place to visit. That they have different foriegn policy aims than the U.S. should surpirse no one. Except for tourism and a few large multinationals they are irrelevant. Unlesss you are a aspiring dictator in the Ivory Coast!

Gravatar French wine? *I* don't understand Bordeaux and brie? How 1950s of you. I confess after spending a couple years living there I still don't get Bordeaux and brie. How middle-class of me. I'll have the crispy Freedom Fries and a ice cold Lone Star please, hold the stale baguettes and garlicky snails. And speaking of odd couples, I swear that was Bill Clinton holding hands with George The Senior earlier??? If those two got chummier, well...hmm. All kidding aside, I think it was a great tour by the two former presidents and demonstrated to the world what our republic is all about. WTG guys!!!
