I'm withholding all judgmental comments except this one:
There's a vampire named Emmett?
How are you supposed to take seriously a vampire named Emmett? Does he sweep blood into an-increasingly-small-then-disappearing puddle?

Kim. Dude. You actually read the dining entertainment? You probably know more about stupid sparkly vampires than I do now.
Maybe Emmett-the-vampire was once a premier running back in the NFL, which would explain his exceptional speed and agility as a vampire.
And the Dancing with the Stars gig could explain the sparkles.

I am *appalled* at the seriously lousy quality of the hearts and lettering.
Srsly.

I knew I could count on you and your discerning design sense.
And to say "srsly" with such pointed aplomb.

LOL - I could have warned you. Lack of sparkle was a complete disappointment - to me - apparently to 14 year old girls just the fact that the poorly printed words are twilight themed is enough.
(I actually went to more than one store to get all three kinds for my DD. I paid a buck a box)

Also? Read the books. All of them. When teen daughter is obsesses I thought it best I should know the object of her obsession. Great books if your genre happens to be teen romance. If not, try The Host. It is actually some pretty promising sci fi geared towards adults. Not the best I have ever read, but far from the worst and at least there are no teenage vampires

I appears they aren't marketing to us, Karen, but to fourteen year old girls. It seems odd that we would long for sparkly more than the fourteen year old girls.
Well, now, reading the series if your daughter is obsessed is just good parenting. And I'm still not willing to knock the grown up READERS of the books -- some of them I will vouch are wonderful, intelligent, well-read women.
I just wish one of them could adequately explain to me what tripped her trigger.
OK... once I finish reading Bonk and Oil (srsly), maybe I'll check out The Host.
