I really need to update that tote board, before the indictments and removal/scandal lines on some public officials get so prohibitive they must be removed from the board.

Stay tuned for the law department's legal memos on this one.

FYI, Pittsburgh United presented city council with over 100 signatures this morning on a petition requesting a public hearing regarding the legality of the land transfer for three parcels between the stadiums-2 for the Hotel, and 1 for the amphitheater. Not sure when the hearing will be scheduled for, but there will be a chance for the public to voice concerns.

There's a concept in planning called "site control", as in, a planned development really shouldn't be approved unless a developer can demonstrate it has control of the development site. Either the planning commission has inside information or it's jumping the gun. Either way, I think we're all pretty tired of developer giveaways - particularly in the case of the casino scenario. It's one thing to play hard ball just for the sake of doing so, it's another to give the store away. The Ravenstahl crew is far too inexperienced to know what the middle ground is, let alone know how to get there. So, a developer/campaign contributor comes knocking, Luke/Ford/Zober open their wallets, say "yes, and yes", and only ask questions when challenged through community groups or the media. Of course, that's the most innocent explanation for their behavior...

Gravatar Council might be too busy working with unclaimed pets in the animal shelter to give this due attention.

Priorities there are what they are.

Gravatar Is it only for me that comments aren't working? Is this like the time when the Admiral had to post a new comment to read the old ones?

Gravatar and now Dan Onorato is going to a back room meet-up with the Stadium Authority for the Rooneys.

Hey Dan the beer tax man - keep your stinking nose out of this. You have no standing at the city's Stadium Authority.

What a bunch of weasel's

Gravatar Mark:

You really are a turd aren't you? Let no good deed go unpunished.

Gravatar Hey Anon, (i.e., the namecaller above), consider exactly who is punishing.

A blogger making truthful remarks can't "punish." It is hardly possible to punish in that the power to 'punish' is beyond me. Well, at least the blogger's capacity to dish out punishment is not with the anything close to the effectiveness as a member of city council.

Speaking of punishment, today, is interesting. A felt tip marker in a pocket could cost one his drivers license. (It was discussed.)

Welcome to Pittsburgh!
