FDR's stupidity was NOTHING compared to Reagan who raided the Social Security lockbox and gave a trillion to "the brave mujahideen" headed by Osoma bin Laden. Lowered taxes in the short term by forcing our kids and grandkids to pay at compounded interest.
At least in Roosevelt's war, EVERYONE pitched in, and everyone had to have paper drives, tin can drives, and savings bond drives. The current leaderhip, with the country at war for seven years and natural disasters around us, urges citizens to "go shopping" even if they have to do it with a credit card.
Absurd!
