Cookie, Re: #16: Mimeographing actually produced a black ink not purple. The purple ink that we all sniffed was produced by a process called spirit duplicating.

Dear Cookie,
You just gotta love this blog. I rated older than dirt too.
Doc... the first "real" job I had was in the Kipplinger Building in DC. I ran a mimeograph machine and our ink was indeed purple.

Hey Doc...thanks fer stoppin by amigo. To be honest, I only remember the ink as purple...and that smell...one never fergets it...
