Knuckles, thanks for the compliments and everything! But, actually, the trip was co-financed by Gaza Vivrà, an Italian group that I was going to the Tribunal as a representative of. It is a tiny organisation, and we do what we can to attend the more important things. There were a few people I met at the Tribunal who are professional "conference goers". I thought that was really odd, to be quite honest! They are there to promote something (a book, a program, or a political party). But, almost everyone there was there because they wanted to be part of this, to witness and to then become witnesses for others. I have about 15 more reports coming out. I am working on the next one right now, about one of the most amazing speakers-thinkers I have ever had the privilege to encounter, Rania Masri.
I also was going over all my notes (I took over 100 pages of them!!!) yesterday and was documenting a few things, fact checking and whatnot and I once again saw pictures of the victims. There has GOT to be justice for these people!! Israel cannot pretend their crimes will be swept under the rug forever.

Mary's right not to respond to you, BK, and I grudge it, but let me suggest that you would get a lot of support on the Socialist Unity website; their mainman, Andy Newman, has said that Hizbullah cynically provoked the destruction of Lebanon, to increase support for themselves. Maybe, you should join Respect Renewal, BK; Newman writes prominently for their paper, so his views must be acceptable, at least to those who are aware of them - not the muslims, I suppose.

Jerusalem Yeshiva (Madrasa) attacked on Thursday was in fact a training center for the Zionist movement’s leading rabbis as well as many yeshiva heads, city rabbis, and teachers in religious colleges and high schools. The school was central in shaping the evolution of religious Zionism.
Founded in 1924 by Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook (d. 1982), then chief Ashkenazi rabbi during the British Mandate, it is seen as the first yeshiva to be Zionist in spirit.
After its founder's death in 1935 it was named Mercaz Harav after him, and became synonymous with Rabbi Kook's teachings. From 1952 to 1982, it was headed by Rabbi Abraham Kook's son, Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Kook.
The foundations for the religious settlements in the West Bank were forged in Mercaz Harav, whose student Hanan Porat set out to restore the Jewish settlement in Gush Etzion immediately after the Six-Day War. The founders of Gush Emunim, a religious political movement that encouraged Jewish settlement of land they believe God promised the Jews, came from Mercaz Harav after the Yom Kippur War.
Rabbi Kook encouraged his students to go out and fight for the settlements in the West Bank. He himself took active part in these struggles.
Rabbi Kook was very strict about modest clothes for women and the separation of men and women.
The yeshiva's well-known graduates include Rabbi Haim Druckman, Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, Rabbi Zfania Drori, Rabbi Moshe Levinger, Rabbi Shlomo Aviner, Rabbi Yoel Bin-Noon and Rabbi Hanan Porat. Other graduates include the Irgun's first commander David Raziel and Maariv newspaper founder Azriel Carlebach.
Today, the yeshiva has about 500 students, including 200 students in the yeshiva's kollel (post-graduate division).

Shaukat, you are a fool. The Talmud never even mentions Jesus, probably because he is a ficitonal character. If you are refering to Yeishu, this was an idolater who lived centuries before Jesus supposedly existed. The anti-talmudic lies are exactly that - lies. The wisdom of the Talmud has sustained Judaism for thousands of years and perhaps its very success is what has engendered so much jealous hatred.
