abou - the shill for the globalists, and endorsed by current president of France, Chirac, in the upcoming presidential run off is Nicloas Sarkozy, another corrupt, fraud.
his socialist opponent is a woman Segolene Royal. Unless she is elected, France will continue self-destructing, in behalf of consumerism (and the globalists) ...Who are the enemy of the Lebanese people as a whole, as well. As they are also, these globalist elites of the West, the enemies of all peoples around the world. As the rest of the world is beginning to discover.
Sadly, Israel is yet in the camp of the globalists if not at the moment, their horse, pulling the cart.
As for the current President Chirac who endorses the fraud, or clown fish, Sarkozy, lets glance at Chirac: (Quote of above article) "In reality, the Chirac-Hariri relationship has to be viewed from a different perspective. As soon as he leaves office in a few weeks time, Chirac will be investigated by the French judiciary on charges of corruption and undeclared personal and political “funding” during his tenure as mayor of Paris. Many of his senior aides have already received prison sentences." (end quote.)
abou, I would submit this to you - first, no one 'knows' who assassinated Hariri ... very similarly to the reality, no one can prove who did 9/11 in u.s. The Romans - used to this kind of false flag chicanery over one thousand years of their own history, always used to first ask cui bono-?-or whose political aims were advanced.
But sadly in the West and in the rest of the world, due to media manipulations by the all-powerful globalists, no one asks that question forthrightly and examines the conclusions, in our 'enlightened' times. These times are dark.
Second if you are not some sort of shill yourself for the globalists, I wouldn't be so concerned about 'leftist' or what the media calls 'far rightist' to marginalize them too, as being concerned with reality. Cui bono? Lebanon as a whole benefits in this case, with the election of Royal.
So, unmistakably does France benefit from the election of Royal, for those who love France. Or prefers Her to McDonald's.
If the majority of French people are, as the media these days likes to claim - 'in love with consumerism', now? They won't be in love with jogging in place for a hamburger, later. ... abou if you do love Lebanon as you seem to suggest, don't be scared by terms 'leftist' or 'far rightist' that the globalists would have their media impose. Love Lebanon, as the French should love France.
Cui bono?

In the name of the holocaust
In the name of the holocaust and the "never-again mantra," Israel wants the world to allow it to commit every conceivable crime and every abominable violation of human rights in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, from murdering school children on their way to school "for security reasons" to shooting pregnant women on their way to hospital (also for security reasons) to dumping tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians into modern-day concentration camps deep in the Negev desert.
Indeed, in the name of the holocaust, Israel has been hounding, brutalizing and tormenting four million impoverished Palestinians, barring them from accessing food and work, and utterly ravaging their lives and livelihood as well destroying their streets, colleges, bridges, and power stations. And, as if these obscenities were not enough, the Israeli state has augmented its oppression with an Satanic wall that is effectively reducing the bulk of Palestinian population centers into updated versions of the Ghetto Warsaw....
"Turning the holocaust into an asset," wrote Hass, " allows Israel to present all the methods of the Palestinian struggle (even the unarmed ones) as another link in the anti-Semitic chain whose culmination is Auschwitz. Israel provides itself with the license to come up with more kinds of fences, walls and military guard towers around Palestinian enclaves."
Indeed, Europe’s, especially Germany’s, obsequious, even acquiescent, reactions to Israel’s unmitigated crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples shows that Europe has not learned the right lesson from the holocaust.
It shows that Europe is atoning for one holocaust by adopting policies that effectively encourage and facilitate the perpetration of another holocaust....

In the late 1940s, Walther (Walter) Rauff, an SS officer who was responsible for the murder of at least 100,000 people and was wanted by the Allies as a war criminal, was employed by the Israeli secret service.
Instead of bringing him to justice it paid him for his services and helped him escape to South America.
Documents of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that have been released over the past several years show that the Americans were aware that Rauff's case was not exceptional.
After all are Israel and Nazi good friends?
Did "Walther(Walter) Rauff" do really trustworthy Holocaust testimony?
It is necessary to clarify grounds of the testimony by the statistics science etc to prove the correctness of the testimony.

One must ask the obvious question – “Who have benefited the most from the assassination of Rafiq Hariri?” Certainly not the Lebanese or Hizb’Allah – because the later is the most powerful and respected resistance group in Lebanon, since it kicked Israel Occupation Force (IOF) from most of Southern Lebanon in 2000, after the 18-year bloody resistance. The only ‘Vampires’ who gained – were Zionist thugs, who have an eye on Lebanon as part of their dream of ‘Greater Israel’ – along with Jordan, Syria, and parts of Iraq. See the Zionist map of their criminal dream:
http://www.marxists.de/middleast...hoenman/
map.htm
Thanks to Hizb’Allah’s fighter – Lebanon became the graveyard for IOF soldiers last Summer – and spoiled the dream of both Israel and Zionazi-State to march-on to Islamic Iran.
It was the French colonists, who divided al-Sham (Syria), in order to have a separate Christian-majority country – Lebanon. So did the British colonists, who took away some part of al-Sham and called it Trans-Jordan. The main idea was to sow the seeds of dismemberment of Muslim Ummah into numerous small western-puppet States, which keep fighting with each other – and make the way for the future plantation of Jewish-colony to look after western interests in Muslim heartland.
Since, both France and England have lost their imperialist muscles – their brothers-in-crime, the Americans have taken over the task of protecting western interests – via protecting Zionazi-State.

Mohammaden Shaukat,
As usual you are a lying pig. Produce your evidence or perish.
Never heard the "progressive" Mary and company telling you to stop lying.
Why do you lie? Don't you have any inner conflict about this? No you don't have to deal with your conscience, for Islam already took care of this.
You live in the West, speak a language of the West, but your mindset is that of the Muslim world. The punishment for Europe in about five decades is gonna be the Sharia law inforced on the Europeans.
Albert, do you have something wise to say today. For a change, speak of the lies told here by Shaukat, time and again, and how this practice of lying is related to Islam.

Jihad and the Collapse of the Swedish Model
I decided to write this essay following the riots in Malmö this weekend. Malmö is Sweden's third largest city and by far the worst city in Scandinavia when it comes to Muslim aggression. I read recently that an Arab girl interviewed in Malmö said that she liked it so much there, it felt almost like an Arab city. Native Swedes have been moving away from the city for years, turned into refugees in their own country by Jihad, not too different from the non-Muslims in some regions of the Philippines, southern Thailand or Kashmir in India, or for that matter Christian Serbs in Kosovo.

Enda, sweetie... islamofascists or globalfascists or fascist-fascists, or judeofascists... tip of the hat to you... And an apology in case you did read the last board where i had a typeO ... so I'll reprint the reprieve herein ... Note: i can be that profound, but in this case - it happened by mistake (quote) "APOLOGIES: inadvertently due to a typeO or divine intervention - I wrote something more profound than I had intended... here's the quote from my post above [from other board]:
"And so do you see... if you are not yet engaged in exploiting the palestinain people... why would you WANT to join together with Deir Yassin in remembering that which in history is under-remembered." (end quote) ... apologies - Too vague... however it's true & actual really both ways... if you are Not exploiting the Palestinain people, they then are - no longer exploited... and thus it's no longer needed to emphasize Deir Yassin.
OF COURSE dear reader given current reality - I MEANT - for those who yet exploit the Palestinian people everyday, sadly, (corrected quote) "if you are not yet engaged in exploiting the palestinain people... why would you [NOT] want to join together with Deir Yassin in remembering that which in history is under-remembered." It is our very JEWISH thing to do to remember the unremembered in behalf of justice... OR let's face it - did only our Prophets... do THAT.
Only the Prophets did it... the only good thing to say about us is--after we usually got our way--at least we didn't blot off the books, what the Prophets had told us... We at least elevated it...
Has it done much good? ... that's why there's rabbis too... a few of whom are decent, like Rabbi Friedman... so it did a little good.
Edna, this isn't as people like av would suggest 'self-hating' it's conscience.
However I will add, edna, as you can see, we're not all bad, while only our prophets good...
Rather pretty much like most people, there's a few good, and prophets too from the past... and just like most people - most people 'believe' they're good. Edna, funny, right... you Do have a sense of humor? I made a typeO edna...unless it was divine intervention... it seemed to work both ways, anyway..... sorry. The time will have to come for Zionazi-state to declare its hand: is it "a state of the Jewish people throughout the world", while ruled by atheist Zionists, or a state of all its citizens, both alien Jews and the native Muslim and Christian Palestinians? So far Zionazi-state has managed to convince the western world that it is 'the only democracy' in the region, but neglects to add that this democracy works only for its alien Jewish citizens.

'Al-Qaeda is a creation of the US intelligence apparatus', said natural science above. Yes, in Afghanistan to fight the Russians when osama bin laden was on 'our' side.
It just means it's thoroughly infiltrated, and infiltratable by our side and israel. So the globalists can when they choose to, use Al-Qaeda via infiltration as a 5th column against us (normal u.s. or normal israeli citizens) to achieve the globalists ends. I believe they did that for example in 9/11.
Israelite, i don't try to impress you... though i try to be clear. You're right sometimes i'm talking to myself, isn't that human? Don't you? Ok, with the internet now we can do it in public.
The election of a socialist now in France is good, [given the runoff choice], because globalism is passe (it doesn't work anyway for enough of the people, it's cannibalistic) ... But also we're all - due to global Warming - looking at going toward 'deep, local economies.' It's good for Israel it's good for France, it's good for everyone, except the globalists... who will always try to squeeze the last penny out of everything, before reality catches up, and forces their own change as well.
When Samuel had grown elderly the israelites came to him and said we like what you've taught and the idea of being a nation of priests. But we want you now to appoint us a king, so we can be a nation like other nations. Samuel knew that most people are built for slavery of some kind, sadly. Though he was attempting to change it. Samuel of course replied he would do as they wished, but first reminded them kings will only enslave you. And he enumerated all the ways they would have to do that, in order to rule a kingdom. Still the israelites persisted, and so they got what they wished for.
Most people are yet built for some kind of slavery, and today - they yet have their oligarchs or kings; though they are kings invisible to most...via money supply, currency v. money etc. big international bankers (i.e. globalists or the globalist few ... or kings.) But they have no responsiblity to any 'peoples'; only to the accounting's bottom line and their own pockets, and if also a public corporation only to the stockholders.
So in a sense democracy hasn't (yet) taken us back to Samuel's day... by which I mean, to a time of more than The days of kings...
In a sense it's taken us in an unsavory direction... toward invisible kings, and inhuman kings, with no responsiblity to their, or any peoples. "Give me control of a nation's or nations' currencies, and I care not who makes its laws," said Baron Rothschild. This transcends 'democracies' ... of course.
Even Samuel couldn't predict this, when he advised his people what they would be getting into - if they wanted kings. But today he would have to Add in his advising them: 'and, by the way - make sure you Stick with the visible King ... responsible to his people... not those ruthless and inhuman invisible kind, of the f

To which the Israelites would have replied 'Huh-?- What-?-' And said to themselves, 'oh Samuel must just be an old high-brow now.' (Humor)
MICAH keeps it simple: "Only to do Justice and to Love Goodness, and to Walk Modestly with Your God" (6: is reality's ethical bottom line.
I suppose everyone has to decide are ethics a myth, or important....Then that's Who they are.

COMMENTARY on my above post -
Bad News: 'It rains on the just; (good news -) AND on the unjust.' This world in all of its multifarious wonders and beauty, and horrors too... - is only Where we humans (because we are conceptual, or Also other-dimensional or/ spiritual creatures) where we human beings are concerned, This world IS a stage.
It's like a kaleidoscope of beautiful colors etc. contatntly changing due to time; and also the more it changes the more it also remains the same.
This is Why though, 'good' itslef is possible (in the human realm.) For if we choose good (ethics) simply because we Could Perceive in advance its salutary impact, For us--for choosing it - for sure, then, where's the 'good' in that?
All good (or the perfect) in this imperfect world is of God, is - good itself. We don't Do good, therefore because it makes us 'good' or gods, we do good and are ethical for its (God's) Own sake... and so this is Who we then, Are.
Or we are outside then by choice (often perhaps unwittingly) heaven and earth... which is not possible in reality... which then in God's time, catches Up. [Job, whether he existed or not, learned this.]
In other words whether we 'believe' ethics exist or don't exist. In this regard, although we are yes Free to 'believe' what we Wish, we are Responsible for it. Where do we choose to place ourselves? Then this is Who we are.
In this reality, even God does not work, in my opinion to strike down the good or the ethical, even if we choose to not 'believe' in Him, per se.
Maybe he's lonely to not be included in His good, but it's not his role to be jealous. Maybe he's jealous... but that's his problem, if so.
But we get what we 'believe' only on a personal level (like say if driving, we're at the wheel)... It's doesn't change the stage, the kaleidoscope, the World.
That stage or world is what it is. Just like God is God. ... This isn't high-brow, it's simple down-to-earth stuff, that if you study history, or even think about this, itself, long enough (whether you believe in God per se, or not)...you'll notice it's reality. Where is your Heart? But, my advice is - because you do good, don't choose to 'believe' You are good. Good is good, itself. Or if you believe in God, One is good, our God, everyone's Good - everyone's God.
That's my advice... 'believe' that; for you believe something all the time, anyway; it's our human condition. ... This is also One Law. Other laws now are good but they're traditions... and traditions are useful and even good too, when they, in my opinion, serve One Law. This is also another kind of beauty, among all the others, and not only at another level...but prepares the learner to be able to appreciate Beauty.
People today are Eager for experience, and yet especially today, have little or no capacity at the same time, for appreciating beauty. But it's also right here. Is that fascistic? No, unless Life is so.

Commentary continued from above...
You're free to believe what you will. Good. And accept the responsibility, even if it tarnishes your belief in your Own 'goodness.' Sorry. That's freedom, too.
As another commentator once said: 'what it hateful to yourself, Don't do it to others. The rest is commentary... now go Study.' Via study, we can also Let it sink in... in God, or good's time...so we can become ready. I think so.

Lebanon - One Unexploded Bomb Per Person
Israel needs to get the bill for THIS and for reparations to the victims
SRIFA, Southern Lebanon, 27 April (IPS) - Close to a million unexploded bombs are estimated to litter southern Lebanon, according to UN forces engaged in the hazardous task of removing them.
"...it would take "probably more than three to five years" to clear southern Lebanon of what he estimates to be 900 air and artillery strike areas. But that would still only be the flat areas, and not include hills and other areas where munitions have yet to be found.
Watteeuw said his teams are finding hundreds of thousands of unexploded cluster bombs, along with smaller numbers of grenades, artillery rounds, anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines and bombs of all varieties.
Thus far, civilian contractor teams have cleared approximately 110,000 UXO, and UNIFIL teams like the Belgian teams the colonel oversees, approximately 25,000.
"In Belgium we've cleared 100 tonnes of UXO on average every year since World War I," he added. "So this could take a long time."
Teams from China, France, Italy, Finland, Ireland, Turkey and Spain are also engaged in clearing unexploded bombs....

Who really wants binationalism?
By Alexander Jacobson
Have the English and the Scots gone out of their minds? Here in the Middle East, it is clear that there is something to fight about. But what reason is there for the national tension between Englishmen and Scots, who live together happily and prosperously in the United Kingdom?
With great seriousness, senior British statesman have recently been discussing the danger of the dismantling of the unification of England and Scotland. According to recent public opinion polls, the Scottish National Party (SNP), which upholds Scotland's resignation from the union, could win the coming elections for the local parliament. Surveys in Scotland show that more than 40 percent of the country's inhabitants support independence (according to another poll, that proportion reaches 59 percent). Also, 52 percent of the English replied that they are interested in Scotland leaving the union, in the sense of "we are here and they are there." The English press reports with concern on "anglophobic" tendencies in Scotland.
How has this happened? After all, in Israel, we have heard that Europe has almost entirely rid itself of nationalism and the national state, and that in the near future the victory parade of multi-nationalism and post-nationalism will come to the Middle East, where the masses, as everyone knows, are waiting for it with bated breath. However, it appears that the news of the death of nationalism has not yet reached the distant provinces where the English and the Scots live.
There we have two nations facing each other, Protestant Christians both, who have undergone profound secularization and are very close to each other in their modern culture. The two peoples have been living in the same state for 300 years; their representatives sit in the same parliament and in the same governments (and also serve as prime minister); they are partners to the same economic system; they intermarry with no difficulty; they live in the same neighborhoods; they fight in the same wars; they agree on the same values of a modern, democratic and liberal society and they speak the same language.
Not only has all of this not created a common national identity for the two peoples, it is even possible that this is not enough to keep them in the framework of a shared state. This, even though it is one of the most liberal and least nationalistic states in history, and even though the Scots have received an autonomous parliament and government of their own. It is not easy to explain this, but the reality is that most nationalities, even in Europe, aspire to national independence even when they are offered a reasonable and fair alternative to it.

The idea of one state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, which is known to the public as a binational state, has in fact been promoted by the Israeli right, which supports the establishment of Jewish settlements in the territories. Parts of the radical left also believe in the binational idea, but they cannot bring it about.
Beyond every other argument, of principle or practice, there is one question that must be answered by everyone who supports this idea: If the vision is realized, will it indeed be a binational state? If today, hundreds of years after the establishment of the United Kingdom, the Scots are still finding it hard to accept it as a true binational framework and about half of them see it as an expression of the hegemony of the English majority, is it reasonable that a state with an Arab-Muslim majority, in the heart of the Arab-Muslim world, will really be "binational," even if it is officially defined as such? It is clear this will be an Arab-Muslim state in every respect. Or is it the case that someone believes that from the moment he has adopted a fashionable slogan that is detached from the reality even in Western Europe he is exempt from responsibility for the practical significance of what he is proposing to the Israeli public?

KERBALA, Iraq, April 28 (Reuters) - A suicide car bomber killed 60 people and wounded 170 near one of Iraq's most revered Shi'ite Muslim shrines on Saturday, in an attack likely to inflame sectarian tensions.
The blast occurred at a checkpoint on an approach to the golden-domed al-Abbas shrine, situated among shops and restaurants in the holy city of Kerbala. The area was crowded at the time.

Suicide bomber kills 26 in Pakistan, minister hurt
PESHAWAR, Pakistan, April 28 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber on Saturday killed at least 26 people and wounded scores of others, including Pakistan Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao who said he had been the target of the attack.
The blast occurred as people gathered around Sherpao at the end of a public meeting in Charsadda, a town 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province.
"It was a target killing, and I was the target. It was a suicide attack. I have suffered minor injuries," Sherpao told Pakistan Television.
"It was not a big bang, it was a thud but the impact was massive. The attacker was apparently walking behind us," he told Reuters.

Quote of Israelite's above: "Have the English and the Scots gone out of their minds? Here in the Middle East, it is clear that there is something to fight about. But what reason is there for the national tension between Englishmen and Scots, who live together happily and prosperously in the United Kingdom?" (end quote)
It probably won't happen this time. The primary reason for 'centraliztion' of any kind, has been as a practical matter, it sufficiently 'abstracts' the local reality i.e. by providing a tangible 'higher authority', so that -small town'ism- or local feuds don't have people in each other's bed, slitting one anothers' throats - not to put too fine a point on it. After 1,500 years of xianity, the Scotts, a large enough entity any'hoo, could go their own way, without fear of that. As could many states in the U.S., for another example etc., etc. Why the Scotts won't this time, if they don't...is probably just the issue of subconscious habit, I'd bet, more than any other reason... since there's a 'vote' on it, apparently.
Buckle your seat-belt...Israel for another example given her History, has always usually ONLY been united, once a nation like other nations under kings visible or/ invisible, when fighting a tangible external foe. That's yet another reason to keep up the notion of local 'big' bad guys in the region. Which many Israeli regimes have fed those flames consciously, as policy, for that and other reasons, and yet do so. Whether the others targeted were local bad guys, or--not really 'hostiles.' People are people. The locals all got along Christians, Mulims, Jews in Palestine, more than less, prior to the Israeli State, and its exclusivity, or exceptionalism...witness the Flag, itself. Which is just the literal metaphor, for her locally exploitive policies, everyone for the most part on the planet, now knows.
Indigenous israelis or jews who were never asked to leave the middle east in the past for their own violent or terrorist methods, are also beginning to ask, or wonder - What again was the great 'value' of having this mass immigration of jews from around the world into israel, if it only resulted in ruining the peace, and destroying relationships with the rest of the ME?
Especially since indigenous jews also now 'israelis' can't help but notice, if they're not second class citizens themselves, they're certianly at least [1 1/2 class] citizens, as a practical matter. No?
A lot of jews would honestly have to reply to that question - yes, in candor.
Everything is a two-way street.
So should the 10 'tribes' of the north, today separate from judea-?-again... or even in judea, herself invite in the 'Romans' to arbitrate the next civil war? Probably won't happen... the isreali regimes today still have the big bad boogey man they've created - to contend with. ...(Shalom.) Any wonder why that word today, doesn't seem like it means 'peace' to the Palestinians? ... Get

Albert, lots of stuff the chew through here, and I've had mucho computer difficulties, so my time to read everything as carefully as I would/should has been scarse in recent days (as the infrequent commenting and posts show!) But, wanted to say one and a half things:
I am working now on a paper about religion. I don't know if I'll post it first here or on Axis of Logic or Online Journal, but if I do, I'll make a note of it. Today I was helping my daughter with her homework, and in 4th grade, they are now learning about the History of the Jews, which she already knows about, as she does the history of all the people who comprise her ancestry. Her textbook of course talks about the Diaspora and the foundation of Israel, not in the way I would, this is for certain, but that doesn't bother me too much. She knows her oats in that. The problem was this "Monotheism" as the great innovation. i am not at all convinced of this! For me, it was dumb luck that Abe's god became "THE" god, and not some other one. This all-inclusive god who then (to quote Dylan) "God said to abraham kill me a son, Abe said man you must be putting me on." etc. Well, Miriam, true to the form of a nine year old said, "Mamma, if I have to have a religion, can't I have one without a God?"
I thought that was just so cute.

2300 IOF Vs 50 Hizbollah soldiers killed
As the aftermath of Zionazi-State’s Lebanese adventure last Summer – it lost 2,300 fully-equipped Zionist soldiers as compared to 50 rag-tag Hizbollah’s resistance fighters.
In September 2006, two local Israeli newspapers released insider information ensuring that the Israeli military death toll might climbed to around 540 soldiers. Israel refuses any outside agency access to its lists of the dead and wounded but an examination of all the accurate information available as of January 1, 2007 indicates that Israeli Defense Forces lost a total of 2300 killed with 600 of these dying in military hospital facilities subsequent to the conclusion of the fighting and an additional 700 very seriously wounded.
Hezbollah's leadership claims that 43 of their fighters were killed in the conflict, while Israel estimated that its forces had killed 600 Hezbollah fighters. In addition, Israel claimed to have the names of 532 dead Hezbollah fighters but when challenged by Hezbollah to release the list, the Israelis dropped the issue. A UN official estimated that 50 Hezbollah fighters had been killed, and Lebanese government officials estimated that up to 49 had been killed.

At first, I thought it was one of your vile lies. But then I realize it was coming from the truth seeker. I can't argue with the truth. So, I am wiilling to accept these numbers.
These numbers certainly boost the Syrians' confidence which surely will lead them to attack Israel in the summer. It's gonna be very hot here.

Exactly - that's why Israel is constantly trying to provoke Syria to attack. In the end though, as usual, it is likely that Israel will attack - with weapons supplied by the ever-faithful USA.

Hardly. It seems that arab propagandists are encouraging Syria to attack by posting fake casualty lists.
After all, most cowardly Arab forces will not attack unless they believe the odds are overwhelmingly on their side, or they have enough old women and children to use as human shields in order to keep moral western civilized armies from fighting back.
But the world seems to have stopped caring how many Islamic fascist Arabs are sacrificed by their Islamic Fascist governments. They now realize that the Islamic Arab world has no regard for human life.

The real aim of Lebanon war finally revealed - Orchestrated by Israel and supported by the USA
The Israeli government has long claimed that the primary objective of last summer’s war in Lebanon was to retrieve two soldiers captured by Hezbollah in July.
But a top military commander recently revealed the real aim of the war.
"After a couple of hours it became clear that we would not get the kidnapped soldiers back through military means," Gadi Eisenkott, director of operations at the time of the war, told a group of students during a speech at a local school.
Eisenkott also asserted that the primary objective of Israel’s offensive in Lebanon was to deal a major blow to Hezbollah, a mission that Israel failed to accomplish.
Eisenkott's speech caused uproar in Israel as it contradicted claims by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who alleged in a series of important speeches to the Knesset and the media that the key goal of the war was to secure the release of the two soldiers....."
No - those two soldiers were placed on the wrong side of the border deliberately to be sacrificed for the "good" of Israel.

NS: maybe we'll start our own. And also have a 'new kosher', that this time is gastronomically correct. Taste, sure, but it's all about digestion (the long period after a meal) and thus energy/joy, joie de vivre, elan vital!
Science now knows (i.e. it's knowable) that the stomach realeases different digestive fluids or juices, to digest different foods. Sometimes it is these digestive juices themselves when 'incompatible', or not optimally compatible, (in mixed meals) that makes one in the aftermath of a meal - sleepy (YAWN), or bilious (Grouchy).
This phenomenon today, is due to how and what we ate over time (evolution.) And so what our body (digestive tract) automatically does, after eating.
First (in time or evolution) we ate fruits, so the digestive juice for fruits is the oldest/strongest. When you eat fruits alone, (nothing else), it's digested in only 1 hour and you corresponding feel good... and energetic. Should always, (if the body wants fruits), eat it alone. The digestive juice is compatible, with no other.
Second (in time, or evolution) we ate proteins, i.e. nuts and later due to hunting - fish and meats. Its digestive juice too is unique for proteins. Including eggs, later came dairy like milk, cheese. Would you squeeze grapefruit juice on a steak? No. Mistake, digestively speaking; so then why squeeze lemon juice on fish? Mistake as a matter of digestion. So don't drink fruit juices either when having proteins.
Third came aggriculture. This is when all the ensuing cuisines of the world became unwittingly flawed, since understandably they went for exquisite taste...in the moment...but THEN you have to digest it all. Humor: fellow being grilled by the Congressional Committee, was sweating like Elizabeth Taylor, after a big Mexican meal, (for example.) Sorry, Liz...if she reads us. Why doesn't it work, gastronomically? Because starches, i.e. also known as Complex Carbs wheat, rice, oats (and things like cooked potatoes, which become starch, once cooked) and worse, the now refined forms also have their own digestive juice. It's not compatible with proteins OR of course not compatible with fruits.
Finally agriculture also gave us, water based vegetables, or known as SIMPLE carbs. Salads, fresh and cooked vegetables that Don't become complex or starch if cooked...have its own digestive juice, too. However these simple carbs are compatible, fortunately, with proteins./// OR compatible as well, with complex carbs... /// (not with fruits again of course, which must be eaten alone.)
So, at a meal--bottom line--as a digestive matter: simple carbs + protein = correct. OR simple carbs + starches = correct. Or fruits alone = correct. But the body does not digest either proteins or complex carbs (i.e. starches) properly or completely when mixed = incorrect (or Not the new kosher.) Thus for example, no more sandwiches, when a protein is in it, which was invented in England by the Earl of Sandwich, when he slapped

Thus for example, no more sandwiches, when a protein is in it, which was invented in England by the Earl of Sandwich, when he slapped a slab of turkey between two pieces of bread.
What about fats, like cooking oils? The body needs fat to burn fat, and there's fat naurally in most foods, anyway. However as far as our arteries are concerned, by sheer chance there are only two cooking oils that are actually good for the arteries. Olive oil, especially extra Virgin olive oil, and Flax seed oil, are acutally good for you, like fish oil in fish. So use those when cooking...but none of the others. So you can use those when frying meats, fish, eggs, if you wish, but none of the others, or on salads = correct. Try to stay away from refined foods of any kind, but even a little refined sugar isn't so bad, like in sodas or icecream etc., if once in a while.
It's about digestion, and the arteries....It you eat this way, without ever being 'hungry' you'll lose a lot of weight, and have a lot energy. And it tastes good = the new kosher. Enjoy! What do I suspect 'G-d' says about the new kosher? I intuit = bon appetite! ... He's happy (in my opinion) when we're happy and energetic after eating, and not bilious or sleepy. Now do good with it. Or at least Don't do bad. It's good for the soul. Truth is good. NS, we jews used to notice, well, truth is good, but it may get you in 'trouble'... given the imperfect human world? Not really I've noticed, if you add one caveat....Due to time, truth is not precisely true or actual, if it 'hurts' anyone. So then wait due to the phenomenon in the human realm of 'timing'.
Somtimes you decide to be true, even if a little ahead of the curve, since it nudges people in a better direction. That's like my friend ArtieFishel, in my opinion.

She knows all the stories and is an expert in Homer. (no kidding! The girl can't tell you a thing about maths, but get her started on myths, and she is unbeatable.) The family religion is..... was..... should be.... well, we live in Italy and since it's common practice for her to follow the religion that is dominant, she's getting the stuff the school gives out automatically. At home, she gets instructed in ethics and she knows about other religions and thinks it's ok for people to have them, and them be different, but she simply doesn't like the idea of an interventionist god. And she was disgusted that Abe would even think for a minute of killing his son. When she asked me if I'd have done the same, I said, I'd tell God to get lost.

Mary, what I think might suit her is Taoism, seriously. Maybe you should introduce her to Lao-tzse's texts, which are a really good read, if nothing else. Very much about ethics also ("the Way"). Raúl (my 7 yr old) loves the simplicity and the complexity...and he is also fed (but not force-fed) Roman Catholicism at school here in Brazil (which he loves to deconstruct afterwards at home).
Some things Lao Tzu said about leaders and laws are interesting too and timeless...
~ A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves. ~
~ The more laws and order are made prominent, the more thieves and robbers there will be. ~

Taoism is something like a spiritual path without a god as such, certainly not an interventionist one...
"I do not concern myself with gods and spirits, either good or evil, nor do I serve any.
Lao Tzu
I was also amazed to see that he is behind these:
"Born to be wild - live to outgrow it."
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

I didn't really like it myself, and to be honest, Miriam would like it less. She would ask where the plot was, what was supposed to happen... I remember last year, at Good Friday, she said, "the story's over, now what are they going to teach us in religion?" And she meant it seriously. But who knows, I'll dig out that volume again and maybe she will get something out of it that I didn't see.

Mary... there are Contexts, which you Could create, in which the 'god said to Abraham,' (-so uncouth-) 'kill me a son,' bob dylan's version [even his uncouth street version] ... might make sense.
Mary, but not to a 9 year old. "Christ!" - didn't mean to take the xian Lord's name in vain. Ever exclaim it, yourself? ... ... In one sense, - that's Civilization. ... Its glue... like for example a little bit of 'guilt' isn't bad, it's a social cement. [When it's not too self-centered, or self-indulgent.]
But since you're 'enlightened' these days, as are we all - except, that too, can be a trap if overdone - you might, when she's older (unless she's precocious) explain, 'honey at that Time, in history (and later, tell her in Evolution) all peoples were Savage (like, say hip-hop, yet today, not all of it - but who wants their kids memorizing the lyrics?) and if you don't include that present sad, fact - go on to say... G-d, for everyone's well being in that Savage time, & for generations to come--wanted to make sure, Abraham's Loyalty was to making things more, or better than the merely, Savage. So if He, Abraham, was going to also be the point-person, the person to lead it (to found it), G-d had to be sure he was totally committed.
G-d NEVER intended to go thru with it (Miriam), honey...but HAD for safety's sake (for You, Miriam) to make sure 'Abe' would be committed to You. It drove Abraham 'nuts', but in those more primitive, and automatically Savage times, nonetheless, even Abraham knew, it Was the type of committment it took....That's why if that is what it took, for everyone - all of mankind, he'd do it.
Even if Abraham said no...go to blazes ... THAT, would have pleased G-d too... Then no Need. But you see, Miriam... in the Past that's Who we were (even Abraham.) We're NOT like that now. (?) Miriam, thank G-d, your father and me and all who came before us...became much more 'automatically' civilized than peoples were Before, this. We try--sometimes we all lapse. But at least NEVER, where You are concered honey. -
G-d is pleased with us. It's what he wanted. (optional).
There are only a few good rabbis today... that's why there's no guidance for you Mary... or too little. The times are dark. Sadly. Everyone's a 'land-grabber'. It's to be expected... if you know History.

Ok, Mary. But IF there is a God 'like' One...creating the others (completely) separate from himself, with his essence or spark, inevitably, like your post contains yours... he has to withdraw from all of space to make room. You don't have to, since you're not God, and are IN Creation. In fact he has to withdraw from himself... for that.
Thus for freedom to exist (in such a creation) it entails opposites, and chance. I, myself wonder if he knew that in advance, or its repercussions.
Who cares, because IF you don't need him, good, he's probably even more happy? IF you can make it work. Go for it... i won't demean for it, by saying, you go for it 'girl'... wait, i just said it. sorry. will you be kind, and include me, nonetheless?
I (yet) need G-d... when i'm weak, and i beg... Help Mr. Wizzard... you Are better than I, if you make it work... without, always. ... good for you.
That's why there's the (good) saying: strong as a woman.

Regarding the eventual election in the USA - from what I have read about him, Gravel, one of the Democratic candidates, seems to be a good choice for the job...
"What will make a difference in this campaign is not money, it's not celebrity, it is a person who is prepared to tell the American people the truth," he said. "The people are fed up and as president I will do a 180 and move this country in the opposite direction."
Gravel served two terms in the Senate, representing Alaska from 1969 to 1981 . He made his mark as a fierce Vietnam war critic who staged a one-man filibuster that led to the end of the military draft. He drafted legislation to end funding for the war and released the Pentagon Papers, which detailed government deception over Vietnam, at the end of June 1971.
"He started out with less money than the cost of a John Edwards haircut," said Elliott Jacobson, Gravel's national finance director.
Gravel told reporters after the debate: "We stayed in a $55 motel. I'll hitchhike to the next debate if I have to."

Gravel's good for dreamers. He stands about as much a chance as an icecube in hell. Look at Ralph Nader, who at least had a constituency and some money behind him. Abstention is the only choice in campaigns where what counts is the amount of money they can collect to get their votes.

I agree he has no chance Mary, and that's a pity. For someone decent to become president in the USA is almost impossible, because it boils down to simply who has the most money. The president is at the service of the moneyed mafia. Same old thing every time.... indicating it is the system needing to be changed at a very fundamental level. But HOW?!
