Alternot Defends Phony "Al Qaeda"
All you know about sham "war on terror" may be WRONG....
by TopCat
Anyone that challenges the status quo on websites that pretend at being an alternative to corporate media may know what I address here. For the rest of you, the reality our western world has been run on since an obvious whitewash at 9/11 with its gimcrack “war on terror” on the public nickel is far from a pretty one.
Case in point: I was recently banned from the site "Alternet" for daring to suggest “Al Qaeda” is largely a propaganda farce and hollow trap meant to deceive a rather gullible American public - which it certainly has. I didn’t just up and decide to make this up, by the way. Documented authors Webster Tarpley (“Synthetic Terror”) and Michael Chossudovsky (“America’s ‘War on Terrorism’”) along with a host of other well-researched journalists, academics and government insiders have said the same and more.
Sound outrageous?
Take a look at BBC documentary “THE POWER of NIGHTMARES” for what author (“Al Qaeda: the True Story of Radical Islam”) and Chief Reporter of the London Observer Jason Burke says of “Al Qaeda” exactly 12 minutes into the film:
“The idea which is critical to the FBI’s prosecution that Bin Laden ran a coherent organization with operatives and cells all around the world, of which you could be a member – is a myth. THERE IS NO “AL QAEDA” ORGANIZATION. There is no international network with a leader – with cadres who will unquestioningly obey orders, with tentacles that stretch out to sleeper cells in America, in Africa, in Europe. That idea of a coherent, structured terrorist network with an organized capability simply DOES NOT EXIST.”
In case you missed it, Jason Burke word-for-word states, “ THERE IS NO ‘AL QAEDA’ ORGANIZATION” where “Al Qaeda” as a "terrorist network with an organized capability simply DOES NOT EXIST”. That would clearly mean “Al Qaeda” didn’t exist on 9/11. This, from a world-class journalist who lived with radical Islamists all over the Mid East and Eurasia at Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.
Still with me so far?
Again, I would encourage anyone who wants the most basic clue on this to watch BBCs “THE POWER of NIGHTMARES” documentary which will not be broadcast in America. It outlines the fact “Al Qaeda” was originally palmed off by the FBI-Washington establishment at a Manhattan courtroom in January 2001 exploiting the crazed testimony of Jamal Al-Fadl -- a con-man militant who robbed money from former CIA asset Bin Laden. Jamal Al-Fadl agreed to make up his largely baseless conspiracy tales in the pay of U.S. government handlers. "The Power of Nightmares" further reveals the "Al Qaeda" tag was never used by Osama Bin Laden (or anyone else in the Mid East-Eurasian theatre) until AFTER 9/11 when a Washington-MSM corporate axis sold the "Al Qaeda" slogan based on paid-for testimony of Al-Fadl -- a known Sudanese liar, thief and swindler.

Mary, glad the technical stuff is fixed!
Thanks for this absolutely devastating piece of writing. A grim reminder too of the chemical weapons used in Fallujah.
How intertwined Israel and the Anglo-American destroyers are, as they go arm in arm with their weapons of mass destruction, torture methods, walls of separation, and wholesale theft of resources, genociding millions of people and ultimately, even our planet, unless we manage to stop them.

Atheo - see also 2 books by Loretta Napoleoni: ' Insurgent Iraq: Al Zarqawi and the New Generation'; and 'Terror Inc'. I'm not sure about her political perspective, especially in the latter book, but they're both well researched, uniquely informative, and vital reading.

It was just this assertion that got me banned from the LA Jewish Journal. I said that it is demonstrable that Israel has lied, murdered, and used nukes (radiological weapons). I said the first two were established with the attack of the USS Liberty and that it was pretty clear that such weapons were used in Lebanon. The administrator said that was the last straw and closed my account. This was around the same time that a pro-Zionist user who was making threats of violence and other harrassment against me and death threats against this same forum administrator was allowed back in, only under a different nickname.
Though he was in many other ways a thoughtful and moderate board administrator, the dissemination of too much uncomfortable truth was not to be allowed.

ICH reader's comment on alternot article:
Five Things You Need to Know
To Understand The Latest Violence in Iraq
By Joshua Holland and Raed Jarrar
Joshua Holland and AlterNet have always denied Israel's influence on any of these wars. They are supporters of Israel and Zionist ideology. Beware of articles from AlterNet writers.
In this article, Joshua Holland refers to Iran and Tehran several times. Yet, not once does he mention Israel - not once, as though Israel does not exist and has no influence or interests whatsoever.
Here are some of his quotes:
"[Iraqi nationalists] who forcefully reject foreign influence on Iraq's political process, be it from the United States, Iran or other outside forces."
"Iranian influence on Iraq's internal affairs.'
""Iraqi forces" are, in fact, "Iranian- (and U.S.-) backed Shiite militias""
"has long enjoyed close ties to Iran"
"SIIC, a staunchly pro-Iranian party...."
""our" man in Baghdad is also Tehran's."
"Despite his [Hakim's] close ties with Tehran and deep involvement in Shiite militia activity, Hakim has been invited to the White House, where he was feted by Bush himself."
Who are these "other outside forces" to which Joshua Holland is referring? Why is Iran mentioned as being "foreign influence" but there is no mention of Israel? Why shouldn't Iraqis "enjoy close ties to Iran", build good relations with Iran, and be pro-Iranian? Joshua Holland is subtly building a case against Iran that it is interfeering in Iraqi affairs.
We know that Israel and its supporters planned and pushed for war against Iraq - and Lebanon - and wanted the complete destruction and breakup of Iraq. Israel has its intelligence agents roaming all over Iraq, killing the brains and intellectuals, and creating chaos. Some of Iraqi prisoners have already said that they were tortured by Israeli torturers. They have also been training Kurds in Northern Iraq to create chaos in Iran. Their eyes are on Iraq's resources. Yet, Joshua Holland omits all this but harps on Iran for having close ties with its neighbors.
If Hakim were to have close ties with Israel, Joshua Holland would not be writing "Despite his close ties with Israel...". He would be praising Hakim and admiring Bush for meeting Hakim or anyone with close ties with Israel.
Joshua Holland is being ridiculous with this statement: "U.S. forces are enforcing the curfew in Sadr City -- rather than playing the role of neutral mediator."
Neutral mediator? When have US forces ever played "the role of neutral mediator"? All along, US forces have been "enforcing curfews", cutting off electricity, water and basic necessities. This is nothing new. They have never been "neutral mediator".
