OH I LOVE IT!! I just had a conversation with my neighbor about this tonight. Did you see the report on Fox news?? They took 325 african americans, and ask them questions about "Obama", relating to foreign policy, health care, economy, etc. They were actually laying out what Mccain was proposing and over half agreed with the proposals, which they believed were Obama's. Means only voting for him for one reason. GEEZ...a few even thought Palin was HIS running mate! If he gets elected I am sorry but the welfare numbers will certainly go up, and I think half the people I know would be on it, with no choice!! Okay sorry for the rant! LOL!

Hmmm, sad that we cannot have opposing political opinions and still be friends.
Your loss.

Wow.
Are you...are you ALLOWED to say that on the Internet?
As far as I know, if you're not for Obama, you're not allowed to type anything that people can read saying otherwise.
Well...at least he'll have TWO votes.

I think you need to do some more research yourself. All Obama wants to do is take away all the new tax breaks the top 2% get and reinstate the middle class tax cuts for the middle class. I would suggest you check out his website . If your family makes more than $250,000 and all the people you care about make that too, then it surely would make sense for you to vote for Mccain. So I just hope that when we are in the next Great Depression that I don't see you in line for your government handout so that you can feed your kids. Take a walk in a poor persons shoes - it might change your perspective. Not everyone is smart, not everyone makes the right decisions in their lives, not everyone gets to go to college, not everyone lives in a nice house and has a husband that brings enough bacon home to feed his kids and keep his wife at home, not everyone has an upbringing that encourages them to acheive more, to be more, not everyone is as fortunate as you. And by no means are you better than anyone else or less deserving of having a roof over your head or having healthcare when they get sick or feeding their kids when they are hungry. I could make almost all the same assumptions you've made about uneducated democrat voters to uneducated republican voters. Unforunately, there's nothing we can do about that, but we can educate ourselves and vote according to the facts and not hype or untruths.

It's a clusterf*ck and I'm fighting to keep my house as we speak. If I end up losing more money to any other place (taxes...etc) I'm screwed.

Well no other Obama supporters have stepped up to answer your questions directly so I figured I would try to respectfully take a shot at it..
"So if Obama Hood takes all our money, and gives it to the poor, then WE will be poor people, and he will give us money too right??"
I fully understand your concerns about a welfare state but I am confused about your assessment that Obama will take money from us to give to the poor. His tax plan calls for greater taxes on those making more than $250,000 a year which most certainly does not apply to me. 2 in 10 American households make $250,000 or more a year. That means the other 80% of us would be among the “poor”. So to answer your question, yes he will be giving us money too.
"When we can no longer afford to live in our houses because of all the tax increases, and "Sharing the wealth" you think Obama will let the middle class come crash at the white house?"
Once again, unless you are making 250K the only concerns about my house payment would be with whether or not your bank stays in business. As far as the wealth sharing goes... CEO’s and greedy bastards have been sharing our wealth among themselves for some time now. I’d like to have some of it back. Trickle down economics made the 80’s a prosperous time but the 80’s are over.
"Is it worse to NOT vote for a man because he is black, or to vote for him SOLELY because he is black?"
I’m conflicted on the answer to this question and maybe not fit to answer it since it is not my personal reason for voting for Obama. On one hand I agree that skin color is not the best reason to elect a candidate and in some ways is probably reverse racism. On the other hand we cannot disregard the history of our nation and consider that the black population has waited a long time for someone to overcome their struggles and represent what they have overcome by running for the highest office in the land. That’s really all I can think of to say about that.
"After all this country has been through, how can any American vote for a man who is most certainly a muslim, with zero experience running anything, and suspected ties to terrorism?"
I’m confused by this question. I don’t understand why Obama is most certainly a Muslim. There is literally no factual evidence of this. You may personally suspect that he is (for reasons I don't understand) but there is nothing certain about it. Let’s say for the sake of your argument that he is a Muslim (which I still think is a ridiculous assertion). So what? Not every Muslim is a radical Muslim, just like not every Arab is a terrorist. There are thousands of people in this country and millions in other countries who practice Islam and have no desire to blow anyone up. Practicing Islam does not automatically equal terrorist. That is a racist stigma created by an ignorant Bush administration. That however is irrelevant because I still maintain that Obama is a Christian. As for the suspected ties to

My shiz got cut off!
...As for the suspected ties to terrorism….Obama has ties to one guy who did some stupid radical shit in the 70’s. William Ayers is not someone who I would add as a friend on facebook but he certainly isn’t the leader of Al Quaeda. Having a fundraiser with one guy who is a member of your party is not the same thing as practicing or believing in terrorism. Obama didn’t put his hand over his heart during the anthem at one rally. Stupid? Yes. Unusual? No. Ever been to ballgame and watched the crowd during the anthem? People and players are talking to each other, goofing around, digging through their purse, eating a hotdog, etc etc. I’m not excusing it because it pisses me off when I see people do it but I am saying it does not automatically disqualify you as an American. I wish he hadn’t done it but it doesn’t terrify me.
"Oh, BTW I have ALWAYS voted Democrat in every election since I was old enough to vote. I will be voting for McCain! Yeah Palin may not be the best choice for VP, but I would WAY rather have Palin as the number 2, than Obama as number 1. Hell I would vote for Palin as the President before voting Obama!!"
I have always voted Republican in every election until the last Bush election. This is a big departure for me as well. I’m not sure why you are so convinced that Obama is a terrorist loving Muslim threat but I hope time will heal these misconceptions if he wins. Barack Obama may end up being a lame ass Jimmy Carter shitty inflation president, but I don’t think we should be terrified that he wants to destroy our nation.
There’s my two cents. I hope I have managed to answer your questions to some degree without being an a-hole. debate is all part of the process!

Yeah...what they said. I don't really like arguing politics either. But....it sounds like your basing a lot of your info from some off-base sources. Looks like everyone pretty much covered it, tho. The fear propoganda is what fuels the McCain race, imo. Once you dig deaper and do some fact checking you realize that most of what spews from their ads is just hype. It's a shame he can't swing his votes from something a little more substantial...
