I have to tell you that happened to me a few years back. I was also talking to your wife and said something about us being a certain age and she said I'm 24 not 23 or something to that sort... and I almost could have cried right then realizing that I was a year older than I thought and trying to figure out what happened with my life... it is very weird feeling
