Saya setuju. He could have done better because we know that he is better than that. With a good editor, it could have been an interesting memoir.

Kesilapan ejaan, cerita yg terputus-putus....Kassim boleh buat memoir yg lebih baik lagi daripada tu saya rasa.

I read the book. I like the history aspects of the book (cerita jepun masuk kampung and orang terberak etc...etc).. presented in a bersantai way... tak perfect tapi menarik dan tak pretentious. it gives visuals to text.

i've read isham rais' review of the book in off the edge. he too, didn't seem impressed.
