You got something to say to me?

I went through the sleep deprivation earlier this year. Really bad. When I had my surgery (me thinks Edna was keeping me up) the doctor said I had to rest so she gave me some drugs.
Five Ambian was all it took. I have not refilled it, but that five nights sort of retrained my sleep patterns.
This was just me. But, I have to say it was a blessing, even after I said I wouldn't do it.
Buffy the Bladder Slayer (my doc) came through for me.

What I don't really understand is that in the (fairly recent) past, I've had a couple of periods of staying up three days, or five days, and have just been loopy and practically hallucinating by the end of it. None of that this time. Or then again maybe I'm insane and hallucinating and just don't know it? Heh.

I don't know, if I don't get back into my regular patterns (which are not stable and not good but better than this, at least I do usually get 3 or 4 hours sleep most nights if not more), I may have to see about it further. This definitely cannot go on indefinitely!

I'm glad your friend is home.

An alternator is way more expensive than a drive belt, so that's good news too.

I love Ambien! I use it once or twice a week at most, with melatonin as a substitue on the other nights. Until you get 6-7 hours of uninterrupted sleep a few nights in a row, you don't realize how much you miss it.

I actually get excited about going to bed, because I know I'll wake up feeling rested and happy. Where the hell was that for 30 years!

Over the counter stuff knocks me out but makes me feel like I'm crawling out of a well when I have to get up the next day.

Glad the car is less serious than thought. You should buy a lottery ticket or two after doing Bez's Hoodoo dance.

I hope you get some rest, there is nothing like a good night of sleep. I usually get insomnia when I'm worried about things - and seems like you have had some stress - maybe worry about your friend, your car, how to get all that pet food, etc.. it's enough to keep someone up at night, even if you know it will all work out in the end.

Bless your heart, that is a lot on your plate at one time,, but it seems to be clearing soon. I'm glad your friend is getting better and will be up soon and frisky before no time.

Enjoyed reading your blog, esp about the music!

ARe you close w/ your vet or the people that work there? If they sell food, they might drop it off for you.

Take care and hope you get some rest soon!

yaaay on the belt vs alternator solution to the car problem. Unless it's a timing belt on an old subaru where you have to take the damn engine out in order to replace a 12.00$ belt (i'm bitter still!), you should be in good shape!

I have no problem GETTING to sleep. My problem is that I keep waking up at weird hours: this morning 3:45. Yesterday at 4:00. Sometimes I can get back to sleep, but usually I just trundle down to watch tv in the hopes that something will bore me back into the arms of morpheus.

Bus & Pet Food: I have a neighbor who'll take my money, and bring me back the heavy stuff (food, litter). I carry most his groceries in for him, even though he's my age, and in condition -- he has early-stage ALS, and appreciates the help. Other than that, it's me and

Oops! Take II (preview is yer friend!):

Other than that, it's me and my Chinese scooty-scoot, and the MTA! Oh, and the Tony Lamas.
