Pelosi's point was clearly that the difficulty of changing the SC's decision would be nearly super-human. A constitutional amendment is not an easy thing to pass. Thus, we might characterize the decision's finality as having (nearly!) the permanence of a divine decree.
This reveals as much about the "liberal mind" as Karl Rove's recent statements.
