Juan Cole is a reprehensible waste of carbon resources. Worst of all is his heinous habit of posing his opinions as lines of inquiry: Was Vincent's death an honor killing? Was his death caused by his affair with his translator [nonexistent]? Etc. (The whole issue is framed nicely by Mrs. Vincent in her comments).

This is the same technique that Pol Pot apologist Noam Chomsky uses and it's no less disgusting coming from Cole.
