Ah, yes. After trying to call for a cab myself once, I gave up all hope of ever doing that again. "Sir, are you sure you called already for a cab?" My reply: "Yes, 20 minutes ago." Their reply: "Ah, no--no sir, you didn't. Would you like a cab?" At which point I had to restrain myself from some unbecoming comments and just hung up and walked until I could throw myself in front of a car that somewhat resembled a cab.
