I've never used a diaper service. I just wash them myself, no problem.
Also, I've spent FAR, far less money on my cloth diapers than I did on disposables in the 2 years before he wore cloth.
Really, it's much easier and more cost-effective than people think.
Like I said, I'm a convert. Disposables were easy, but cloth is honestly just as easy. If you know how to wash laundry, you can handle cloth diapering.

We have been discussing potty training our 2 year old, but have decided to put it off a bit. My comment to my husband was, "Well, we don't have to worry about buying more diapers!". I love cloth, wash them myself and am a convert from disposables to gDiapers to cloth. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
