I like the way you applied the concept of the color zones to a more broad area of life. Very nice. I agree with everything said.
I expecially like what you said about clothing. The more clothing the better. And I'm serious about that, don't stop putting on clothing until it impares walking and breathing. I can speak for both John and I when I say that immodest and lude clothing is, to people like us, something of absolute abhorrence, and is a good way to repel people who are constantly training their eyes to avoid such things. I like what John said, "We're in a combat zone, and we're trying to be impressive for the enemy." Yup.

Absolutely David.
The problem is, either girls don't understand the power of what they're wearing, or they DO understand the power, and they're wearing it because they understand the power of what it does. Manipulation.
Such as use it, are definitely cut off from the kingdom of heaven.
Clothing is to hide our bodies.
Not to cover up skin. If it shows off the form, it isn't hiding the body. Too many people think that merely being covered is the key; But skin tight leather can cover.
Godly clothing hides the body, of both men and women.
Guys, if you're reading this, DON'T WEAR SHORTPANTS! Wear jeans. They're much more masculine, and prepared for combat.

I just read this. Very good. Clothing is a very important issue; unfortunately it seems there are few people who realize that.
More than 6 years ago my dad read What In The World Should I Wear out loud to us and when he had finished he asked, looking at all of us, "So, do we want to do this?" More than a question what he was really saying was that if we follow God, we're going to follow Him all the way, or not at all. -Typical D personality, all or nothing!
Since that time we haven't worn pants except to climb a mountain or underneath snow pants, and now I've found that maybe even for that it's not necessary. This Summer I climbed Pioneer Peak in a skirt.
As a post script I just want to repeat what has been said many times before (and I know you guys are sympathetic) but really, it's hard. The pressure we receive, both from media and the world (and a lot of Christians) is amazing.
However, I’m happy only to receive a strange look rather than as the early church, a stake. We’re still fighting the same old tempting snake. Some things just haven’t changed.
You had many good points, more than I can comment on, and I know I am way too late to comment on this post. Oh well.

PPS Even if you were to overlook the fact that it’s practically seeped in enlightenment period, humanistic Greek paganism the Phantom of the Opera gave me the “willies”.

Whoa.
Ashley. You're up pretty bloody late into the night!
I appreciate what you had to say. Considering that I'm a guy, I've only seen one side of the battle.
Now that you mention it though, I can't imagine how hard it must be to find something decent to wear these days. I'm not a fashion expert. I know that in Dallas, when we first moved here from Alaska, they thought we were geniune cowboys, because of how we dressed.
Heh, firefighters, police, and soldiers, all wear uniforms.
Why are we so hesitant to wear Christ's livery?
Anyway, thanks for the comment! You brought up some interesting points, which I value.
And on Phantom of the Opera, I think it's the greatest revealer of warped thinking we have.
When a Christian tells me they liked the film, I immediately put them on the other side of the mental fence. They're the entertained, instead of the entertainers.
