Great post! The funny thing is I worked until late last night finishing my first post on education entitled "Discipleship: God's Plan for Education." I finished and decided to take a look at your blog. I was amazed that we had both independently decided to cover the same concept! In fact, I want to borrow from you on a few points. I think I am going to put the multigenerational vision at the beginning or end. It needs to be tied into the topic of vision, dominion, and the family as the basic unit of true Christian government. The family is a trusteeship, i.e. it has inherited the past, is to be good stewards of the present, and is to pass the legacy on more enriched than when it received it to the next generation.
En Christo,
Tait

Whoa. You'll never guess what I was about to do right before you posted this.
I was about to comment on how amazingly similar our blog posts were!
Isn't that interesting? I'm glad that we're coming to the same conclusions independently (or co-depedently), because that means that we're both on the same track, and it seems to be the right track.
Well, I'm going to finish commenting on your post.
God Bless, and yes, copy any points you like. The more this kind of info is shared, the better.

I applaud you both! What a joy it is to read your thoughts. You both are an inspiration to the families that are taking that step of courage to "do the hard thing" and home school. I think that once in it they will find freedom rather than the perceived hardship and an energy to move on to the next challenge. Thank you for giving home schooling a good name.

Yes, one must have a vision. A plan. If we look at statistics, people who have goals and write them down accomplish 50-100 times more than people without them.
Keep up the good blogging, John! I like reading this stuff. Not that I consider it entertainment, but it's worth while. And I like things that are worth while. :p
