Totally awesome;
I wish most everyone would carry em around. Probably cut down on crime some; would add some "mutually assured destruction" to the mix of being a robber.
As soon as I'm old enough (I think it is 21 in Texas) I'm going to get a concealed handgun licence, a Glock .45, and a concealed bullet proof vest.
What kind of handgun was that?

So is your next film going to be a western, John?
I'm impressed. What was the caliber of the bullets you were you shooting? Was that a part of a class you were doing on shooting?

Agent 507:
I'm glad to see that there are other young men so enthusiastic about the manly art of self defense; After all, that's what shooting is.
Just be sure that when you get a handgun, you get some good training. I know several people who are excellent in the business of teaching safe tactical firearms handling.
And for the record, the Glock .45's have a history of blowing up, when using reloaded ammo. Unsupported chambers and the like. The classic 1911 style pistol is about the best self defense weapon around. Kimber makes a good one, springfield makes some nice ones, and of course, Sig has their own Sig 1911 now. The pistol I was using was the Sig P220; a very honored pistol by the swiss army.
Nathaniel:
Haha, afraid the next film won't be a western, no. It's another episode in the Siblings Series, involving a vehicle breakdown, a bed and breakfast, a mystery of the family sort, and a hidden treasure.
As for the caliber of the bullets, they were .45 ACP, standard military ball ammo. I would prefer the .40. It's a smaller round with as much punch as the .45 (nearly) and fits into a much more concealable handgun.
It wasn't part of an organized class, just a shooting day with many friends that have been through classes as my Father and I have, as well as tactical instructor Tom Russell.
My Dad and I have had over 200 hours of tactical firearm instruction, and my Dad is a certified Tactical Pistol and Urban Carbine instructor. So we have a bunch of targets right here on the property. The latest one we built was the charging target. It still has a few kinks (much too slow; I shouldn't have been able to get but three rounds off) to work out, but we'll get it right.
Next time you're up this way, give a hollar, we can go try out some targets.
What are your latest projects?

Thanks for tip; I'll look into it. I still have a few years to do so.
Forgive my ignorance, but do you use hollowpoint/expanding bullets or solid point?

That sounds like fun. About how many hours distance are you guys from San Antonio?
I hear you'll be at Jamestown. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Yes Sir, the goal is to be at Jamestown, though I hadn't made any arrangements, waiting for a decision from some friends, so about four days ago, I realized I'd better start shopping for a place to stay over there. Everything is pretty full these days though...
We're just about five hours from San Antonio. Maybe less if there isn't any traffic hold-ups along the way.
