Gravatar Well, welcome back, hibernating Alaskan boy!

I must admit, I have thrown books away and yes, they actually were the Left-Behind books (also those trashy books by Philip Morris).

One of the things I liked about "Bubble Trouble" was the last part where your dad and the family are gathered around the table, talking about the sermon. It effectively portrayed a Father providing spiritual leadership by directing his family's discussion of what they had learned in church. Other than that, he was not very present in the film, but I never got the feeling that he did not interact much with the family. Nonverbally, y'all indicated otherwise!

Hey, are you coming to the DCFM meeting?

Gravatar I have not thrown any books away that I can think of since all of mine are history books and Christian fiction. After seeing the trailer for FACING THE GIANTS and one of the newest LEFT BEHIND movies....I can say that I may have thrown any movies in the LEFT BEHIND series. They include a bunch of explosions and big actors but the story stinks and there is no redeeming point to it.

Oh, and welcome back from hybernation. Can we expect more posts and more podcasts? :-P

Gravatar Good to see ya back!

We have thrown away numerous movies, alot of Disney movies from before our family's reformation.

I have thrown away alot of video games to,especially Age Of Empires 3, that was a BIG disappointment, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault was a real bummer.

Gravatar I have not thrown away any movies that I can remember, but I have sold unwanted movies on eBay.

Gravatar well if i can recall correctly i have thrown several movies and cd's and yes several video games away. In fact i burned them. Yes Thats right john you can recall our bawn fire the 4th of july! the movies i threw away were fight club and seven. Burned alot of secular music i had, burned warcraft 3 and i think that was about it. I do remember keeping the cases and destroying just the covers and disks haha. That was quite fun!

Siblings 3... the journey to BIG CITY... or... the journey to the BIG FOREST... or... the journey to the BIG... uhm... the BIG... fort maybe...

haha anyways,

God Bless,
Cameron

Gravatar lol, I had no idea what to expect with it, and loved it! I think it didn't give you much time to see Edmund's character change. He did, however, start fighting with his family. The films focus is more on forgiveness and the awareness of each person's worth. Which Edmund got the full brunt of.
Anyway, feel free to send me your trashed copy...

Gravatar OH! That's why! I was just sitting here pondering why there are no adults in their lives, and it has something to do with historical accuracy.....

Gravatar Should someone from Alaska NEED to hibernate in a Texas winter, even if it is the coldest of quite a while? JK We've acclimated too.

But really, you have lived in Texas long enough to know how to spell y'all correctly, right? Or is it a John Moore-ism? If so, then I like it and it's fine the way it is.

And yes, are you coming to DCFM? We have been anticipating the HeuMoore presence!

We have thrown away a lot of movies. Like Mike said, a lot of Disney movies from before reformation. In fact, we have so few movies that we don't like to watch them hardly because we've seen them so many times. And we've exhausted the public library just about. Not paying Blockbuster, and they don't have much anyway. I'm excited about the truly Christian Indi filmmakers and what God is doing through them.

No, we did not get the idea your dad in Bubble Trouble was disconnected. In fact, I felt he was very connected by how he interacted with your mom. Even though he didn't talk much with you kids, if he can communicate the way he did with your mom in the movie, it says a lot about what the rest of family life is proabably like.

Glad you're back!

Kayleen
