See, now this is the kind of thing I see wherever I go... I can't read a political thread on Fark.com without it sounding just like this guy. God forbid I go to the Democratic Underground and lurk there (I usually feel dumber for spending time there).
I could go on and on... The Liberals' derisive use of the term (now epithet) "Neocon"... The religious flames - let me stop right here and say that I don't know of ONE CHRISTIAN that thinks the world is 6000 years old. This is the outdated thinking of some bible literalist sect that is NOT shared by all Christians.
This individual ignores facts and bypasses truth to go out of his way to agree with his liberal buddies.
There is nothing conservative about this person. Not in the literal sense... I mean, Michael Moore is a member of the NRA... One can call themselves anything they want. It's their actions and words that truly define them.
Holy smokes... then there's this:
It would work out well for the neo-cons who think they're going to Heaven if Jesus had declared that our income was ours to keep, **snip** instead of insisting that we have to share.
Did he just try to make it sound like the neo-cons that bedevil him so are the ones that tax us too much??? I have never seen a Democrat pass up a tax increase... !!!
*sigh*
Oh well. We don't all have to agree with one another...

Heh. I just posted an update from The Sage, she had a pretty good point about the whole hypocrisy about the rich vs. poor - something I never thought of that way before.
Yeah, this guy has been a total jerk to me for years. I finally lost it today. Thank goodness I have a blog.

This guy is really too much! But he's so typical of liberals.
They claim to be tolerant. Then they go and call conservatives evil, unthinking, stupid, Bible-beating hicks, they belittle everything we think as based on some warped view of what Christians believe, and then cap off their "tolerance" of our differing opinions by telling us we're going to hell! And don't think this is an isoltated incident!
I was told by a co-worker just last week that Karl Rove and I should be worrying about the next world more than this one, implying through the conversation that we were certainly doomed for hell. (I had to remind him that he's an atheist and doesn't believe in hell, and not to worry too much about me).
It's just the same crap we've been hearing for years. Over and over and over. If you don't agree with liberals, you're evil and going to hell. And if you don't agree with liberals, YOU'RE the intolerant one.
OK then...

Excellent points-
I always thought "liberal" meant "Open to new ideas..." The liberals I know and have contact with are the most closed minded groupthinkers you could ever imagine.
Sad.
