As Americans we believe in our rights because they're human rights, not because they're special rights reserved for Americans. We believe everyone should be entitled to democratic government. One of the parts of a functioning democratic system is a free press.

If we no longer support self determination for everyone, then we no longer live up to what makes us special as Americans, we're just like the citizens of any country.

We believe everyone should be entitled to a democratic government unless you're a liberal speaking about Iraq and Afghanistan...because then sixty-some percent of you would think they were better under Saddam.

Self-determination is great unless part of that self-determination inclues blowing up American citizens. Then all bets are off, my friend.

You're speech typifies exactly what Matt said. You're aghast at blowing up American citizens, yet endorse a policy of blowing up non-American citizens.
