Don't get me going on that hypocritical schmuck, Schumer. D'Amato was right about him. Anyone who doesn't like D'Amato's characterization of Schumer can kiss my tucas!
The Democrat Senators have been pretty disappointing. The partisan non-sense oozes from their scaley old skin.
So far, I am pretty comfortable with Alito's performance. He seems like a fair and intelligent person and obviously qualified. The left seem to set him up as some kind of racist woman hating activist.

My concern with the wiretapping issue is executive powers during a time of war. Especially with the "time of war" part. Since we will be at war against terrorism essientially forever (yes, forever) any special powers granted to the executive are not really special, but permenant. That worries me. Not just because it's Bush in the Whitehouse. But because this is a long term, very long term issue.
