Next session I propose sending the speaker some glasses so he can see all of the hands. That's stupid anyways. Only members present should be allowed to vote. If not then why elect anyone? Send the rest of the legislature home so more surplus revenue can be p'd away.

I thought when it came up they were going to lower the bar. when I read what it did I thought "This must be a mistake, didn't they see what we have been through with the waltz and term limits?" We have made it so the dead, felons, and people who are term limited will probably win re election every time, no matter what.
So next session, move for a repeal!!!
I suggest that "the rule" be followed at all times. Why should we elect and pay legislators that are not there to vote. If "the rule" is stricly adhered to, then everyone would be on the record at all times with no excuses for a vote. To let the guy next to you push your vote button is always wrong.... controversial bill or not. Why not propose that as a bill in the next session yourself.

"The rule" (a legislator has to be present to be counted as voting) should be law.
