Stacey--
Thank you for having the guts to stand up for Mike, who definitely marches to the beat of his own drummer, but is 100 percent honest and would never be personally involved in anything like this.
If his son did it, his son will pay. But his father is a good, decent, honest man, and can't be held accountable for what his adult son may have done.
Again, thanks for being a stand up guy on this.

Speaking on behalf of many people I used to know in the hacking/phreaking scene. I think his son really did it to see if it was possible and to expose Yahoo!s vulnerability.
Of course Palin was chosen as a target because of her high profile and being that his father is a Democrat he was probably curious as well to see if she was hiding anything.
That's why hackers do what they do. They get a rush from the challenge of compromising a system and it helps those companies increase security for their products, although of course there are the negative things some do that show up in the news more often.
With that being said, I doubt anyone will hack into John McCain's email because he probably doesn't even know his own password. Lol, I'm sorry, I had to squeeze a joke in there somewhere.
But Kudos for not criticizing his father, being how most hacking crimes are investigated by the federal government if his father had any idea what he was going to do he would have told him not to.
Parents cannot be held responsible for their kids' actions after they become adults.

Here's a college horror story: I attended PSTCC the first year and dropped out right away. High school was cake compared to college and I wasn't ready.
I went back a couple years later and took classes, majoring in journalism for the UT transfer. I went part-time/full time for 2 years and became a sophomore. I went to register for fall classes, while I was running against you, and it would not let me access my account.
I called up and they said I had to change my major. "Why?" They said UT changed the journalism cirriculum. I explained that I signed a contract guaranteeing that my classes would transfer regardless of UT's changes.
"Yeah, that contract is void now."
The end of my college career.
I wasn't on a lottery scholarship because it passed the year I graduated high school and it would not apply to me, so my parents and I split the cost and I was out over 2,000 dollars. I never fought it or anything because I had the campaign and was working 2 jobs.
I think I'll either go to one of those online schools or just buy a degree. There's some really authentic looking UT degrees out there for as little as $500.
My point is, well I have no point, just that I really dislike PSTCC now. And I really don't feel that UT should be raising tuition again while paying their football coach millions of dollars.

Damn, I meant to put that under UT Tuition Ideas. I can never tell which comment link is for which story.
