Per magazine "The Economist" :
For more than a year two seats on the Fed's seven-member board of governors have been empty, because the Senate has been unwilling to confirm Bush's nominees. It has also refused a new term for Bush appointed Randall Kroszner, who is hanging in limbo. Rick Mishkin, another governor, will depart in August. Senate wants to wait until Dem. president can remake the Fed.

We need a call in to senators to shut down the senate to get action.
