as a consummate yankee fan, i congratulate theo epstein for single-handedly, during the winter meetings only, doing his best impression of The Boss ever.
"Let's convince (illegally) and sign the biggest bat left on the market and of course, overpay for him."
I am glad they picked up Drew, who by some miracle (or deal with Satan) will play more than 100 games this year. Over/under on Drew figuring out how to play right field at Fenway or a true Southern redneck being embraced by the Fenway faithful? 5408030 to 6. I'll keep my money in my pocket.
Another AL East title for the Yanks.
ps. cheers to the SAWX for paying 51 mil+ for a pitcher who:
1. has yet to pitch on a (lower) mlb mound
2. has yet to pitch to Damon, Jeter, Abreu, Giambi, A-Crap, Posada, Rano, Matsui, (insert first baseman who doesnt matter) in Yankee Stadium (or Fenway for that matter).
and i'm asian and i'm discounting D-Mat already (what at dumb nickname)

Mr. B, people around baseball message boards and on the radio are saying Matsuzaka is signed by the Sox. It was reported on the radio an hour or so ago. I highly doubt this because DMAT isnt even in the country yet and he isnt even headed towards Boston.

Yea, Ted I've heard rumblings to that effect, but nothing specific. I've been trying to find something concrete, but no luck thus far.
And Yoon, his nickname is supposed to be Matsu, and I'd rather overpay for a 26 year old with serious upside than a pitcher on the wrong side of 30.
