Watching from the UK I thought that his inaugural address hit just the right note. There are hard times upon on and he didn't try to suggest that there were any easy solutions. At the same time he does give a sense of hope which is much needed at this time when everyone is very gloomy about economic matters.

He sounds great but the problem is he is in a no win situation. If the US continues in Iraq, they will be paying a fortune for that war and if they leave the instability will cause Oil prices to rise again. The US debt was too big before the govt help and will be even bigger after the payout..
I love the guy...but I feel sorry for him..

I liked the fact that he was nervy taking the oath as it showed that he is only human just like the rest of us.
I found it a motivating speech for a 21st century leader. I felt it was from a politian based on common sense. It's not often you can use the terms 'politician' and 'common sense' in the same sentence.
Just look at whats happening to the UK, where I live. All PC & no common sense. This does more to drive a wedge between cultures than promote tolerance.
