Peace fam. Hope all are well.

Most compelling? ... that's up for discussion for sure.

But I'm surely not losing sleep over weather Combs had something to do with it.

*Stay off Drugs*

Riiiiiiiight! Miss me with that one homie. Definitely not the "most compelling".

What are ya'll listening to? Maybe "most controversial".

Matter fact... let's compile a list...
hm... if Pac is up there....

*brain working*

1 Mike Jackson was compelling
2 Sharpton. Now he's compelling.
3 Let's put Huey Newton up there too. His doctoral dissertation was on point.

Thug Passion is one of my all-time fav Pac songs...
Ok, I'm bored... getting back to work.

Compelling? Nawwww, that word is too light. How about; most revolutionary, most influential, most intellectual, most lucid...I got it...simply, The Greatest.

I hear you K James and KAJ. Most people don't get Pac. You have to take a deeper look to feel him bruh. There was a method to Pac's madness that's not seen by people who analyze him from the surface.

2Pac - Thug Angel

THUG LIFE - The Hate You Gave Little Infants Fucks Everybody.

RIP Homie.

My favorite line in this article:

"In a bizarre twist, Shakur, bleeding badly, sat on a couch and rolled a joint, witnesses said. Then he phoned his girlfriend, who contacted his mother, former Black Panther Afeni Shakur."

Most compelling "Black" music figure.

Name a more compelling music figure of any color.

Paul.. good pt.

DV...
Marley?
Lennon?

2 Pac is only second to DJ Quik!

(Cali till I die.)

Oh, and I believe everything written in the LA Times article. Same with the book LAbrynth about Biggie's murder.

Esq., DJ Quick Perm??? oh hellll naaaaaaaawww shawty.

P,
I'm just playing. Pac is #1. But DJ Quik is definitely #2. Its an LA thing you wouldnt understand....shawty.

Gravatar Quik is tight. In the top 20, but far from #2.

Gravatar King James - you on point.

Marley
Lennon
James Brown
Biggie Smalls
R. Kelly (Mozart of our times)
Marvin Gaye
Stevie Wonder

However, only Tupac, Lennon and Bob Marley were as political as they were musical.

Ummm ... But Marvin was no political light weight either.

To be truly compelling, one has to be politically relevant.

Gravatar i'm glad i read all of the comments, because i was going to mention stevie wonder then bring up marley as possibly the most compelling and end with something to the effect of

"To be truly compelling, one has to be politically relevant."

i mean, i wouldn't have said it as eloquently i'm sure, but you all would've gotten the point

yeah, king james and dv are on point today.

i'm getting back to work. . .

Gravatar Bob Marley
Miles Davis
James Brown
Micheal Jackson
John Coltrane
Marvin Gaye
Fela Kuti

Gravatar J hit me at the office....

Gravatar somebody hit me at the office...

Gravatar Tupac, 'most compelling'? Go smoke some more crack.

Hands down it's got to be James Brown, with Little Richard, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder running a close second.

Y'all just wont' let Tupac rest.
