the story was great you are missing out on the poe esque mystery and the writing probably went over your head. it tried to show batman as a tragic figue scared more tah he realized.

First, "Gothic" is not a Poe homage. Not if you've actually read Poe. Second... wait, maybe this one should have been first--Grant Morrison--nothing personal--will never write anything over my head. Third, "Gothic" is terribly written.
