At risk of sounding picky - I think you are slightly erroneous in saying that Gamay is the only grape grown in Beaujolais - they can also grow Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Aligote. They dont grow very much of these though with Pinot Noir restricted to 15% of vineyard plantings.
