This Catholic Journey

Gravatar Thank you for sharing your story, especially about your dad's conversion. I worry and pray daily for my dh who does not believe...you have given me hope that someday he may believe.

Gravatar What a wonderful story, I can relate to SO much of it! Many prayers for you on your journey!

Gravatar Yay for you! Sounds like you and I have lots in common too. If you have a minute, read my conversion story too! Sadly, it's incredibly long and full of tedious hand-wringing, and in five long parts.

Welcome home, dear Sister in Christ!

In St. Francis and St. Clare,

Warren

Gravatar Amber, THANK you for posting this blog. Having read your entry, it gives me some consolation as to what I have been going through as well. I, too, have converted to Catholicism from being a Protestant, non-denominational, Baptist, etc. I was searching for the absolute truth. I entered R.C.I.A. and was mesmerized by it. I longed for knowledge and I know I have to be patient for the Holy Spirit to guide me on this daily walk of life.

Once again, thank you, Amber. I will pray for you and your family for strength and guidance.

Peace be with you always,

Steven M. Webb

Gravatar Thanks for sharing your story. I am also a convert. My father is a Calvinist minister. I have not told my parents about my conversion for fear of my safety (literally). I pray I will know the right time to do so. It's always nice to hear when others come home.

Gravatar Hi Amber. Found you by way of Simple Joys. I'm going to put this link in my sidebar list of "Coming Home" type stories - I'm a former Baptist (a Methodist as a child). Changing my heart and mind about Catholicism was so very difficult for me also - more than 20 years ago now. Gosh, I'm still settling in. Ha!

Thanks for writing about your experiences.

Penny

Gravatar Thank you for your comments! Every day is a new conversion and a deepening understanding of the limitless depth of our faith!

Peace be with you!
