Thank you so much for your prayers for my husband!!
He is feeling much better after the weekend - the meds finally kicking in and goes back to the doctor next week to hopefuly begin to get some answers.
I understand about the parents issue and will continue to pray about this for you...It would be sooo much easier to have someone else just call them wouldn't it? :) Just pray about that letter, don't force it. If that is the way to do it then the Lord will give you the words and it will just fall out onto the paper - in His time. He will prepare you to tell them and He will also prepare them to receive it, so just be patient. Enjoy the journey!!! :)

I'm so glad that Mass was beautiful for you. It truly is the most beautiful thing this side of Heaven, as St. Thomas Aquinas said. After all, Jesus Christ is truly present in the Mass and offered up again for our sins. Without Jesus we are nothing.
God Bless! RCIA is wonderful. I think you'll really love it when it starts.

I will pray for you. I understand how hard it will be to tell your parents something they may not react to very well. Are they just likely misinformed about the Church? Maybe some education in some way, educational material, or whatever could help.
I always feel so uplifted after Mass also. I may have to drag myself there sometimes, but I am always glad I went.

Hi Amber,
I read your blog (some) about your conversion, kids, parents, rcia etc. It seems as though you have alot on your plate, with work, class etc. Your walk in faith is eventful, but without a doubt, God does everything for a reason. Your walk led you to where you are now, not accidently; God has strenthened you. Please make sure your kids get the "nourishment" of God they deserve. I'm sure they will. I know you have a lot of reading; but if you get a chance, read "the Lamb's Supper" by Scott Hahn. It explains how "Mass" is "heaven on earth". I will pray for your journey. But you are strong (I can tell) and will make it, just fine.
God Bless you & family

I believe God blessed you for that decision you made NOT to turn the car around and miss Church. It's those small sacrifices of choosing the will of God, rather than your own, that reward us everyday. I believe God recognized your effort and blessed you with those well behaved kids. That peace you felt should be an example of the peace we may all find should we follow God's calls, no matter how difficult. Faith includes choosing the will of God at any sacrifice and knowing it's worth it!
God Bless,
Eve
