This Catholic Journey

Gravatar Amber, I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed by your family. As hard as it is, try not to let your hurt turn to anger. I say continue learning and loving, the rest will fall into place. But that's just my advice. :)

Gravatar Amber,
Try reading Luke 9:60-62, and Mark 1:19-20. Your family loves you and you love them. But it seems obvious you have made a life decision concerning your conversion. I hope you realize your whole life is a conversion experience. Many will oppose you. Follow Christ with your heart. You are doing great, have fun with your new life. Your family will love you for being you.

Gravatar Dub,

WOW! Thank you for those verses and for your words of encouragement! I do understand my whole life is a conversion experience. I can even look back in the past and see how God shaped this time of conversion.

You gave me much to consider with your comment!

God Bless!

Gravatar I recently heard Scott and Kimberly Hahn say that their families still treat them in much the same way... and I can't imagine any couple more prepared to defend the reason for their conversion. Just keep praying for them and hoping that your light shines in the darkness.

Gravatar Chris,

Wow... I didn't know this. I'll keep this in mind when dealing with my family.

It's just SO CLEAR to me, I don't know how anyone could simply not see it!
