That is great news Amber, God sure works in mysterious ways, eh?
As for the Baptism, congrats to you and your family. What a miracle the sacrament of baptism is.
Take your time with the move. We will still be here.

What wonderful news! Praise be to God!
We have been remembering you and your aunt in our rosaries (as I am sure many others are). We will continue. Perhaps that Lourdes water.... Miracles have been known to happen.
And happy baptism day to your kids on Sunday. You probably already know this, but the 24th is the Solemnity of the birth of John the Baptist. Good day for a baptism. :)

What your family is experiencing from the medical profession is a very common scenario. The doctors judge everything they do by the false "Quality of life " paradigm. If they feel your aunt will have a poor quality of life , whatever that means, they drag their feet in terms of care and treatments, and may even get an "ethics' consult to dissuade the loved ones from holding out for aggressive care.
From what you have said on the blog , she is an excellent candidate for a slower paced rehab program at a skilled nursing and rehab facility (also known as a nursing home)
I am the med director of two such facilities in PA and we take patients and their insurance with much less function than what you have described.
The culture of death is alive and well! But God has the upper hand.
