AT EWTN.com at the Q/A Forum the priests highly recommend for parents to find strong devout Catholic godparents for our children.

I'm a recent revert to the Church, also, wondered away for 27 years. None of my children have godparents which saddens me. If I lived in your area, I would've enjoyed getting to know you and your children. I believe I would enjoy being a godparent. God bless you! And welcome home!!!
