This Catholic Journey

Gravatar BAM! Home run! Very good.
Happy Thanksgiving, Amber!

Gravatar I would have to agree with "Emeril" up there - that was very good!
:)

I went 'round and 'round with someone on this issue earlier this year. I think he was looking to win a debate not have any true understanding so I gave up. If it comes up again I'm sending him to you! hehehe :)

Gravatar I think you're right. It wasn't until I truly started seeking truth that all of this made sense, but it was through debate that the lights came on so I always hope that something I say will open someone's eyes. It's not that my Protestant friends don't have ANY truth... they just don't have a full picture of it.

I like that I don't have to explain away or ignore certain verses in the Bible now because they all just fit together. It's like a puzzle that had missing pieces... For years I tried to force pieces that simply didn't belong but now, all the pieces fit and I find a new one every day!

Gravatar That is wonderful, Amber ~ it says it all so clearly :)

Gravatar I do agree that Faith without works of love is worth nothing. However, after you are saved through faith, no good works are nessasary for salvation. You will do these works because of your faith and they will make your faith worth more. But once again accepting Jesus is the road to salvation.
