Good to hear from you!
It ain't easy - is it?
I know exactly where you are - we all get there.
Sometimes when I am in those periods, all I can do is "show up." I really on my habits (the rosary and morning prayers, mass and confession are mine). Even when I don't feel it, I do it, and I get through it,
Thoughts & prayers!

Thanks for the comment and the response to the "Luke" post. I realize that being brought up in a Christian home is a great blessing, yet it makes it harder at times to really explian where I'm coming from to those who haven't had that experience.
You really have a gift of explaining the faith. Thank you for your faithfulness, it's an inspiration to me.
May His grace be bountiful to you and your children!

Rob,
Thanks for the prayers. I guess you nailed it when you said, sometimes all you can do is "show up"... That is exactly what I feel like I've been doing lately!
Peace...

Tim,
Thanks... I agree with you completely. Growing up WITH faith, it is difficult to understand the view of those who didn't. To us, it is logical to look at Scripture for truth... but to those who don't believe that Scripture is more than a history book, we have to use more of an outside logic approach... this often touches on matters of morality. How can we know what is right and wrong if there is no standard by which to judge it? Where does this "standard" come from? Can it only be an accident? If there is no authority (seen or unseen) regarding this morality, can't we just go around doing whatever we want: killing, lying, stealing? Obviously not... but why? C.S. Lewis's book, Mere Christianity, deals with this in excellent logical detail.
Anyway, thank you for the kind words.
May God bless you and yours!
