Yes, well said, Amber -- I always do a bit of a double take when people who assign a great deal of honor to other human beings ("Pastor Jim led me to Christ!") are so taken aback that we would want to honor Mary, the mother of Jesus. Sheleads us to Christ -- that's her role.

I too have always thought that the last words of Christ on the cross were extremely significant...given the amount of effort it required to speak, why would He have mentioned His Mother if it were not extremely significant? Many fathers of the reformation maintained devotion to Mary...most notably, Martin Luther.

I agree... I've also heard people give credit to the Bible. Everyone understands that the Bible itself does not save but that it points to Jesus...
