The response to this is depressing. ...or the lack of it. Fucking libertarians will comment 50 to 60 deep on a online argument about the "use of force" or some other bullshit and wont even comment on this.
I'll have to send her some dough, not enough to matter much, but at least I can say I've supported her.

Tim,
I dunno -- there can be reasons for lack of comments. I know the piece has had a lot of hits and mentions, and assume that at least a few people liked it. Maybe they just thought "enough said." Who knows?
Regards,
Tom

To add to my quote:
1) Riley is liked more here by Democrats than by Republicans - namely for his tax rape plan.
2) Rank and file Democrats will vote for Lucy (as we call her, here) over Riley.
3) There is an off-the-record movement for Demo activists to cross party lines to vote for Moore in the primary. He will be easier to run against in the general election, they opine (and I agree).
4) The GOP machine here is controlled by Riley, but the support is soft. They didn't like his tax plan, either. However, Riley is good at arm twisting.
5) If I was Riley, I'd be trying to be as libertarian as possible now (as he has to know he cannot out-Roy Moore the Ten Commandments Candidate (is that an endorsement from Moses or from God) ------- or try to get rid of any libertarian opposition.

My comment: your blog item here is f***in' awesome! Thanks!! I've seen Nall's pleas on the web for funding in light of the Emery takedown, but I had no idea that aside from being a fringe candidate that Nall was a serious factor in Alabama politics enough that she became a target for Republican dirty tricks.
As you know, the Emery story has been invisible in the US press, although big in Canada, but maybe this "follow the money" and "connect the dots" joining together of the Nall and Emery story might give it some legs in the US. Thanks for blogging this anyway and whoever picked this up on the drugwar blogs (lastonespeaks, drugwarrant or d'alliance is where I must have picked this up).
