Gravatar Hmmm. Now I'm getting intrigued by this AdBrite stuff. I get about 200-300 unique visitors per day at my site (even though I've been VERY bad about blogging, which is easy when your site is very niche like mine.) At one point, I was up around 1,000 visitors per day when Science Magazine ran a story about the site. At no point did I ever bring in even double digits per month via Google Adsense.

Gravatar Chris,

I seldom have anything bad to say about Google -- hell, they host my blog for free, what's there to complain about? -- but I stayed with AdSense for about a month before realizing that it would take something like nine years for me to pull down $100 and get an actual check.

Even down in the sub-200 uniques per day, AdBrite brings in a few bucks a month, and they pay at $10 of accumulation. I suspect that your "niche" site would do better, rather than worse.

The other blogger I referred to in the post (who will remain nameless since I didn't ask permission to discuss his ad revenues) pulled down a $104 check last month from AdBrite. That's what I'm after.

Anyway, there's an AdBrite signup button in the right sidebar if you're interested.

Regards,
Tom

Gravatar I'll definitely stick with you, Tom. I really appreciate your writing. And, like I said, I didn't mind having to click skip the ad, as long as it took me right back to your site. But it had gotten so that I was stuck at that ad about half the time, where the back arrow or even clicking the home icon wouldn't get me out of there. I'm not sure what was happening. When I wrote that first comment it had just happened again and I was really pissed off (not at you, though). Sorry to go off like that.

I'm glad you're posting more. Keep up the good work.
