Gravatar Tom last time I checked teleconferencing was not acceptable under Robert's Rules. I don't want to interfer with what you guys do, or did, but you may wish to check.

Gravatar Michael,

Robert's Rules is a general guide to parliamentary procedure. Most organizations, including the Missouri LP, use it only in cases where there are no applicable bylaws provisions. The LPMO's bylaws allow for executive committee meetings by teleconference.

Regards,
Tom

Gravatar Yup Tom I was, or is aware of what Robert's is used for but many of the state organizations don't make a point of considering teleconferencing. LPMO I guess is one of the few that does.

Gravatar Tom I apologize if I sounded rude. Nothing of that nature was intended.

Gravatar Michael,

No, of COURSE you didn't sound rude. You made a perfectly valid point of procedure under Robert's Rules, and had no particular way of knowing that we had already addressed that point.
