Sound byte? Sure (I'm assuming 30-60 second debate format):

The police already go after rapists, murderers and robber -- if their bureaucrat bosses haven't decided that it's more important for them to go after poker players, pot smokers and prostitutes instead, and if the taxes you fork over for police protection don't get diverted to more important things like research into the sex practices of equatorial marsupials.

It's your proposals, not mine, that keep rapists, murderers and robbers on the street, Bob. Small government isn't always good government, but it's a surefire bet that bigger government will be worse than smaller government.
