Netflix now rules my life as well...that and America's Next Top Model. (Eww. How sad does that sound?)

That is HILARIOUS. I can only imagine the moment when you remembered the mail, and the conversation that ensued. Too funny.

Well your warning only made me even madder that NetFlix hasn't come here yet. Erik and I toyed with the idea of getting rid of the tv last year. Instead? We just got a bigger, better one.

another cautionary tale:
Consider just how significant your other is before going in on a joint netflix subscription.
My (now) exboy and I jumped on the netflix bandwagon last spring when our relationship was just budding. we had some good times for a while with our netflix friend. but when we broke up shortly thereafter, repercussions of netflix reared its ugly head. a cancellation was in order which made the break up that much more depressing. there were nasty emails sent back and forth when dvds were not returned on time, money lost in the process, and i still get emails from the company urging me 'RYAN AND JENNY' to consider renewing our subscription. just a little pang when i read that at this point, but still..a pang.
in retrospect, i do not blame little friendly netflix with its crisp red inviting envelope for any of the drama that it created. However i do urge others (in not-so-committed relationships) to think hard about making that nexflix step. it is up there w

Yup, I'm with you on the obsessing-about-getting-it-to-the-mailbox-on-
time.
Another problem is that once you get into watching a TV series through Netflix, you might not be able to stop yourself from, say, watching all 4 Alias episodes that are on the disc in one night. Even if you, say, thought TV episodes rather than movies would accomodate itself better into your busy schedule. And god forbid you took out the entire season in one fell swoop.

Do you think we need to set up a Netflix Anonymous?
